400 At Michigan International Speedway went to the LifeLock the four top positions in the Sprint Cup standings unchanged. However, Kyle could Bush feel the heat from Sunday's first place finisher Dale Earnhardt Jr. Bush retains the number one spot with Jeff Burton just 32 points behind the second place. But here comes junior. Earnhardt is Bush still on the third place in the overall standings, but he reduced difference from third parties the points to first and now routes of only 84 points.
Strategy and fuel management at the end of the race, Earnhardt was his first point of victory after the accession of Hendrick Motorsports and his first victory after a drought 76 races. Earnhardt drove his 88 Chevrolet to victory under caution, but his father must have had this father's day smiling his smart fuel management down to him. Busch was Toyota at # 13 for his after the start on the pole. A Rainout of qualifications led the field start the race based on the series ranking. Burton remains in third place for the series after 15 on Sunday.
Carl Edwards remains down in fourth place in the series. Kevin Harvick will remain in the 10th. The other six riders all switched positions, but no one fell out of the twelve positions for hunting. It was Jimmie Johnson spot in fifth while Denny Hamlin swapped positions with Johnson and is now in the sixth. Kasey moved two positions in the seventh with his second place Kahne on Sunday. Each Greg Biffle and Jeff Gordon lost a position with Biffle, now in eighth and Gordon, now in the ninth. Harvick holds positions swapped on one-tenth during Tony Stewart and Clint Bowyer. Stewart is now in the eleventh and Bowyer is one-twelfth.
There are really no surprises, which is in the top 12 positions. Now the question is will they all can stay and this victory the first of many this season for Earnhardt.
