NASCAR driver Ron Hornaday wins his fourth race for 2008


Ron Hornaday won the NASCAR Camping World Series race at Gateway International Raceway. This was the Hornaday fourth victory for the year. This was also the Hornaday 37th victory of the Camping World Series race record.

Hornaday made easy for it results in his Chevrolet 113 160 round appear. After the last pit stop, Hornaday in the sixth came after taking four tires. The drivers in front of Hornaday took two tires or no tires. Hornaday has very little time in hunt for all of them the lead down to Retake, and then executes the final 30 laps.

Pole-sitter Dennis Setzer, finished second in a Dodge. Johnny Benson was third in his Toyota. Todd Bodine was fourth in a Toyota and Jack Sprague finished fifth in a Chevrolet.

The series is very close between Benson and Hornaday with only eight races to go. Benson and Hornaday have each won four races this year. Hornaday trails Benson, only 94 points. Hornaday is the defending champion after winning the series in 2007. Hornaday won the 1996 and 1998.

There were no changes in the World Cup for the top eight drivers. Benson and Hornaday after Matt Crafton is in the third. Bodine remains in the fourth quarter with Mike Skinner in the fifth. Rick Crawford is still in the sixth with Erik Darnell in seventh and Jack Sprague in eighth.

The trucks are in New Hampshire next weekend, and it seems to a shootout between Benson and Hornaday will come down for the Championship. Hornaday and Sprague have each won three times the Championship. Hornaday can break the tie by winning the series this year. Benson finished second in the series in the year 2006 and third in 2007, has yet to be crowned champions. The last eight races to see, that of the masters for 2008 is exciting be.
