NASCAR racing legend - Lee petty


Lee petty was an early stock car driver in the 1950s and 1960s. He was a pioneer of NASCAR, and one of its first superstars. It all began in 1948 at the age of 35, he decided his hand on dirt track stock car racing attempt. The NASCAR Winston Cup driver developed four generations from this decision.

In the 16 years he won in NASCAR he finished 5 point in eleven seasons in the top and won three Grand National Championship. He is on NASCAR's all-time wins-list to seventh place. Lee petty was also the winner of the prestigious first Daytona 500 ever. The aim was so close to Johnny Beauchamp, that it took three days NASCAR, whether petty of the winner was.
