Born in Kannapolis, NC Martha Coleman and Ralph Earnhardt in NASCAR. His father Ralph was born racer and one of the best short track driver at the time a natural. Although Ralph Dale in his footsteps was his son follow, had a dream, and that was to race cars. The more he observed his father race, the more he wanted for himself. When he was a teenager, Dale worked in a local auto mechanic business which do, welding and mounting tires. When he left work every day, he would rush on his garage working on his race car. Dale grew fast and early age of seventeen, he married his first wife and had a son on the way. Financial issues soon emerged and he split with his wife and son. In 1973, Dale lost his father, Ralph of a heart attack. He died in his own garage, do, what he loved working on his race car.
The transfer of Dales father devastated him, but he pressed on with his dream of racing, and with his life. His second wife was Brenda Gee (the daughter of NASCAR car builder Robert Gee). Together they had two children, Kelley and Dale Jr. Shortly after Dale Jr. was born, you were Dale and Brenda divorced. His third wife was Teresa. They were married for 20 years and had a daughter, Taylor.
1980 Together, they formed his private life to himself Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Dale normally kept. Only saw most of the no-nonsense, intimidating side of him on the track. Privately, he had time with the family, enjoy fishing, hunting and working on his farm in Mooresville. He was of those known to him, nonprofit and be generous. Dale's NASCAR racing career stretched from 1975 to 2001. Over the years brought his skills and aggressive riding style him the nickname "the Intimidator". He was also known as "the man in black", referring to the black paint job in which his # 3 car was painted. Some fans called him also "Darth Vader" because of the black uniform and car, his reputation as a rider you destroy would, if it passed you could not add. Dale was either loved or hated by race fans; However, he was one of the most popular sport driver.
Earnhardt suffered a tragic accident on the final lap of the Daytona 500 on February 18, 2001. He did not survive the crash and was the fourth NASCAR driver, in the nine months before, and to die first Adam petty in May 2000. This fatal crashes has led to increased security of NASCAR established. At a press conference, Mike Helton, President, NASCAR made the formal announcement of Earnhardt's death: "without a doubt this is one of the toughest announcements I personally used to make." We've lost Dale Earnhardt. Car # 3, driven by Earnhardt since 1988, was immediately retired by Richard Childress, owner of the team. Dale Earnhardt's life and death touched many fans everywhere in the United States.
