NASCAR legends visit ceremony in Mooresville


Mooresville, NC has a constant air excitement about it, especially during the week of May. You never know what you can see, or you can make when you visit city, United States race; Yesterday was no different.

Much to the delight of some hardcore race fans the NASCAR has a few legendary driver an appearance at the North Carolina auto racing walk of Fame ceremony outside the Charles Mack citizen Center in the historic city centre of Mooresville.

"The King" Richard Petty, Ned Jarrett, the first fame by the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame (NCARHOF), was David Pearson, buddy Baker, junior Johnson and Bobby Allison along with Tim flock and Dale Earnhardt family members.

An extension of NCARHOF, the walk of Fame, offers markers on the sidewalks of Mooresville in honour of the members of the Hall of Fame. Each driver available was honored because their inductee status with their own brand and each person will also included in the future a marker on the sidewalk.

Russell Bill France, SR., Cale Yarborough, Ralph Moody Jr., and Darrell Waltrip were also awarded markers.

"I think it is just wonderful taste, it's just absolutely great," said Frances flock, wife of Tim flock, the hike. "I am so happy here today, I can be a part of it and that they our legend drivers that recognize made what it is today racing"

The walk of Fame was the brainchild of Ron Johnson, Chairman of the Mooresville Convention and visitor's Bureau, which generously financed the project, as well as John Dodson of the Technical Institute of NASCAR, sits on the Board of Directors for the NCARHOF.

After five years in the making their idea has finally come to fruition and are a constant reminder of the heroes of NASCAR, the hardcore Motorsport fans, the the streets of race city, United States every year hiking.
