NASCAR racing legend - Jack Smith

Jack Smith worked at a service station near the city of Roswell, GA in the 1940's. He started racing against the local traffickers in the area. He was not picky "he would of coarse dirt, superspeedways, or on the fields of race."I used to watch the guys before the war out in Lakewood and knew that I could do that. "When I alt I entered a race in Thomaston." This was Jack's first race in 1946. "I qualified second national title holder Roy Hall, but after the race started I spun from a whole bunch, so I knew that I'd like some learning about me." 1949 Drove his first NASCAR event in Charlotte (now Lowe's Motor Speedway) and Jack drove at Darlington place 13 1954 in one of his most memorable races. He tried, the leader, fireball Roberts to chase and crashed over the wall. Be tilted car five times and landed in the parking lot. "Daddy drove in the rough and tough days," said his son, Jackie.

"He was a man." He ran hard. He had wide shoulders, large weapons. They ran, and they fought back. It was a hard life. "Jackie Smith, said."It was to make little round. They had all jobs during the week. It was not for the money that they ran. "It was for the love of the sport".

From 1961, Jack won the first race for NASCAR's premier series in the BMS. It was the volunteer 500. 18,000 fans watched as he took the chequered flag with some help relief at the wheel by Johnny Allen. Legend fireball Roberts said that Jack Smith was one of only four riders, could withstand the pace of increasing speeds (in Daytona). Bruton Smith defies NASCAR again - is there an other stock car series in the works?

What does the France family in NASCAR, Charlotte billionaire own O. Bruton Smith. This is the perception between business rivals in the same industry. Of the 22 title NASCAR uses all except three are owned by the France International Speedway Corporation or Smith's Speedway Motorsports Inc. Smith, so it seems, wants to say that the playing field in his direction-a tall order, taking into account its competitors and have more facilities to tilt.

Smith's recent acquisition of Kentucky Speedway, and separation was by long-time friend and collaborator H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler's world of motor racing are wondering what has Smith sleeves.

For now the Sprint Cup schedule rolls a third through a SMI Web site, and Smith wants more. NASCAR insists that it alone has the authority to make its racing schedule, but talks Smith with certainty that Kentucky a race in 2009 will host.
