Rex Allen White, was how many other pioneers of racing, born in the deep South where, Moonlight running abounded. In Taylorsville (North Carolina) where he grew up, he would lie awake at night and hear the sounds of cars roaring through the night with alcohol. He was astonished, as the driver couldn't maneuver curves and steep hill is and how they treat their cars, such speeds changed. Rex was a small man, only 5'4 "but would a great masters in the world of racing. Polio as a child suffered and stayed with a drought not slow leg, but the Rex at all. Worked at the age of 8 years already on his family t model he wanted only to make things go faster. At fifteen, he scraped together some money and headed for Washington, DC. After seeing a race poster at the gas station, where he worked, reached his interest in the sport. He would secretly under the fence at the local track to see events, and soon he worked until the mechanic. Finally, he began to race and win. He was willing, South back to his roots his skills to the next level, which meant.

NASCAR can teach us, social media

I have it to hand NASCAR making a connection with their fans, the use of social media. The way they Twitter in particular on race day is second to none. A NASCAR fan, I appreciate the work that they do.

They keep fans, when it warns about that driver conditions after a wreck, violations of the pit road and useful information that fans can use goes, as they enjoy the race. For it is one thing that they have not only NASCAR talk to communicate it with the fans, most of the driver directly with the fans. This has the average fan, you have a look at and close in what their favorite drivers up to in are almost in real time.

You have about 45 drivers are actively using Twitter. Also, if the drivers on the track to do 200 mph are they have someone on the team of the pits or on the track, the updates that they can hear from the teams radio. Most of the time, while I'm just a race, that I know what's happening is still before the speaker that, tell me on the TV.

Not only are the drivers on Twitter, so are all the tracks. You can in advance ticket sales and other fun things, the is on the tracks. Some tracks also help with the traffic on the track and provide more lines held. Last week the Atlanta Motor Speedway-the first 1000 Fans-$ 1 cards because offered 1 car won the Daytona 500 of the week before. It uses Twitter, the word push-out, and she had 300 fans on the track, which almost immediately buy tickets.

Reporting on Twitter in real time

There are also many reporters on Twitter, while running the race on the track and it updates, Tweet as soon as they occur. These guys know that the fans want these updates to listen and look gives us on the news, because they are reporters.

This should be a lesson for the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL are to punish the player and coach from using Twitter. The average fan has to listen, when it comes to the true story of NASCAR as we are kept up to date on their favorite drivers and team no longer to a sports reporter. Sometimes we are better informed then the reporter who is actually in the race.

Driver sponsors and car companies are also Twitter comprehensively. You can track what happens by you the following accounts of Twitter such as Lowes or Ford Racing. You keep usually appearances and specials to data on things like driver, if the team wins.

That when he is on radio, but he had still a wish, to be behind the wheel of a race car. Bon Annett has been disabled, to race again in 1993 and Childress gave him a ride for the DieHard 500 at Talladega. However, his comeback was interrupted by a crash, which took him to the race. Uninjured and undaunted, he directed for the broadcast booth and called the rest of the race.

1994 Bonnett was ready to start for the season, and he had secured a sponsor for at least six races owner James Finch. Season kick-off was the Daytona 500, but turned out to be a tragic paradigm. Aptly named Scott speed - on the rise in NASCAR circles

You may be familiar with his mph on the race track, rather than the person getting his attention. As long as you know him, he'll take care of the rest. His name alone is reason to sit and observe.

Speed. Scott speed, that is to say. Yes, this is his original name, and he comes from Manteca, California. The 25-year old has the formula 1 track in a time where American drivers with NASCAR, with occasional sways in IndyCar-stick. After 13 events in the ARCA RE/MAX Series he four victories and leads ranking - tops in the points race - he ARCA SunTrust Rookie of the year and already has the NASCAR parade as a driver for Red Bull Racing together. The energy drink with angry red cattle is the perfect sponsor of Mr eccentric himself.

Speed contains flair for the flamboyant blue and purple painted toenails – he is pedicure before the race to help relax him - bright and decorated clothing, oversized glasses and an occasional case loose lips. If his head swings or his tongue wagging, it is ear germinated only the latest tune on his I-pod. Remember former NBA star Dennis Rodman, without which tattoos and colored hair - Oops, not give any ideas.

His full-time ride in ARCA, the No. 2 Red Bull Toyota Camry, Eddie sharp racing belongs. The Camping World truck series, he takes no 22 Red Bull Tundra owned by Bill Davis racing. A nationwide gig is next, followed by a coveted Cup ride, but he is not in a hurry. Its expected entry in the Sprint Cup series is 2010 at the earliest, that's fine with him. He is to speed up the timetable - pun not to have fun.

He is tenth broke speed in NASCAR with a bang in March of this year at Martinsville, in his second career start. His first win came in his sixth start on 30 may in Dover. He has s two top fives and four top-10 in eight events. Be heard based time a BDR driver development program to him preparing for top-tier competition.

And can the young. In fact grows, NASCAR is a breeze compared to Formula 1. So if he can conquer the latter circuit, Kyle has nothing on his cheek, style, or in racing ability Busch. Ask him.

Busch is two years younger than speed and NASCAR seems to have at his fingertips. Speed is unimpressed and scoffs at latest shrub of the target - a formula racing car in the off season. Bush has already planned a year-end F-1 test and he would give it a try if it pans out, even if the race is even less exciting, says it all.

Speed, says the opposite. He throws the idea that an another American, especially one so used to NASCAR, the g-forces can handle and to put up with the neck strain. He claims of heavy (F-1) simple (NASCAR) is the way to go, and Bush is stuck in reverse order.

Speed running part-time in the truck series began with Kansas on May 26, followed by Lowe's Motor Speedway, Dover, Michigan, Bristol, Talladega, Martinsville, Atlanta, Texas, Phoenix and Homestead-Miami. His truck credentials contain two previous races in Atlanta and Martinsville.

Make the exposure he received the next two years.

Kyle Busch leave Richmond with black eyes, NASCAR, and Denny Hamlin

A NASCAR race ability is based on the driver's car at the top of the field to maneuver and stay there until the checkered flag. Saturday night in Richmond, Denny Hamlin did just that for 386 round leading 385 of. On lap 386 originated his right front tire a leak, and he began as a brick, the the way for Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Kyle Busch fighting for the lead back.

Jr began opening a one second lead over Kyle Busch plus and looked as if he had the race well in hand only 6 laps to go. Hamlin instead in pit row and drag decided to determine who should be the winner of the race his own hand off the track. How finally apart, he blew his tyres to the top of the track and stopped, causing the caution, waved to and Jr to the Bush to restart again.

When the turn three Bush and Jr were side by side if clearly on the reps you will find Busch tires turned up zipped spinning, as Bush hard on the right side and in Jrs car, Jr of, but not before Clint Bowyer, both, had passed on the bottom to win the race. Bush in post race interviews that it was difficult run and thought Jr had actually drove into him.

This response, if not otherwise secured video playback, and the fact that in the last Bush has several race deliberately moved verbal post race threatened by drivers from its path or it, to do the same when they move next time, not about, when the King comes through, from doubt to every racing fan here brings to each answer in the faith self defense he can throw. Bush Jr accident likely would not even taken place would not since Hamlin to try bad decision, and to fix the race to his liking. For this NASCAR Denny beating round but at that time meant nothing to Hamlin on the wrist with 2.

NASCAR continues to sit back and let Bush behavior like a bully on a school courtyard playground and constantly muddy the picture, the NASCAR so hard, has worked in recent years to repair. A commentator for Fox Sports was quoted that it takes a long, long time for Jr nation Bush for this to be awarded the close combat. I would go one step further and say that it long, long time for all real NASCAR fans, regardless of which takes you for to consider not only Bush but Hamlin and NASCAR, as well as to forgive.

Difficult race, inadvertent mishaps and genuine competitiveness is what the fans his hard earned money on spending when they come, a race to see not drivers who see that they can not win so choose stupid and deliberately to do something, so that their team-mates could win. Hopefully will get up NASCAR officials in the future and come to each driver regardless of those who they are, if they are caught, deliberately try to fix the result of a race. Oh, and by the way a good cut of raw steak on those black eyes take put the swelling after below.

Why is security in NASCAR still lagging?

NASCAR racing is all about speed, adrenalin, checkered flag, and unfortunately, accidents and injuries. In the news almost on a daily basis today. "Dale Earnhardt Jr. briefly lost consciousness, and he hid a major head injury by his team and NASCAR last year", "Winston Cup driver Jerry Nadeau critically injured in a crash during practice of the Richmond International Raceway", etc.... We will discuss what caused these crashes and injuries and what is currently happening, to prevent, and why more needs to be done.

The worst violations result in death and recently have their numerous basal skull fractures of drivers such as Dale Earnhardt and Adam petty was received. Doctors have found that a helmet-harness some a good protective measure to stop these violations. A basal skull fracture can lead forward motion and/or a sudden abrupt stop - as in the case of Dale Earnhardt for a heavy whipping cream. A basal skull fracture is nearly always to immediate death. A more effective measure is a shock or crash absorbing walls instead of steel reinforced concrete walls, the zero - these give spared Jerry Nadeau at his severe injuries, or at least she could have. These walls are currently introduced and installed in multiple tracks.

NASCAR is over 50 years old. Why take a famous death or several security measures to start it or they take more seriously? Why is it that our own cars have airbags, side airbags, police cars, zones, etc.... Can reconfigure not these same devices for NASCAR information. Airbags have been proven very effective in tests at speeds well over 100 mph. More protection than we give them currently earn NASCAR drivers. The problem is that it gave more attention to advertising, advertisers, and speed. Advertisers placing stickers on the car were and are more important than the driver. More money is being spent to ensure that the different advertisers their brands clearly visible on the driver and car as to all security measures have. Some security measures are intended to provide a boost to much weight and are therefore discarded (thicker firewalls, absorbent)

Take every other sport — football, baseball, basketball, -athletes not stickers or patches with 50 different sponsors all over it. You are actually more athlete safety of advertising revenue in these sports, not in NASCAR, but worried about. Yes, NASCAR experienced a huge Winfall earnings lately, however, that can bring back not the major legends such as Dale Earnhardt. There is no problem with sports benefits, but can be a little more about the safety of our athletes. With all the money, NASCAR has they already install walls security on all the lines, not just a few. Focus on security, rather than only on advertising dollars. In this way we not will remain our result of drivers crash more pray for.

What does GM bankruptcy for NASCAR?

Automotive United States Titan has the smart and predictable way. 1 June to reorganize 2009 at the General Motors for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, their finances. The question is, what does this mean for NASCAR.

General Motors is the dominant manufacturer in NASCAR. Chevrolet is the brand in question. Drivers such as defending champion Jimmie Johnson, passing Champion Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and popular drivers such as Dale Earnhardt, Jr., all of the car. The riders and their teams must somewhat unsettled today with the news feel that GM finally in the bankruptcy court.

General Motors come from the insolvency as a functioning society. That being said, be a very different company. The Government will own 72.5% and provides it with $60 billion in financing. This means that the company profitable key he. Means cut the expenses and the focus of the new company is to maximize income. How NASCAR numbers in that is an interesting question. The first signs are disturbing.

General Motors looks to convert more environmentally friendly cars. NASCAR is not exactly green. This seems to make a bad game for the company. To do this, GM, its has already cancelled sponsorship for four tracks, but has held eight more. Also, the sponsorship of the mighty Daytona has been reduced to a year to year. When the viability of the Daytona sponsorship in question is provided, it has also for the rest of the GM investment in NASCAR point.

So, what happens? GM will remain under the brand name Chevy in NASCAR. It is an important marketing medium for the company. Given the great loyalty of consumers on their favorite teams, also the darkest marketing executives would recognize that ends the GM involvement in NASCAR would be a mistake. This does not mean that the inclusion remains unchanged. Search for GM, maybe one or two definitely reduce and the sponsorship of non-team platforms such as the remaining eight tracks, it still sponsors. Teams and drivers, not title are faithful.

Is Ah, but what, if anything wrong? What if GM decides or is a bankruptcy judge to get NASCAR? Now, chaos would reign for a bit and then things would calm down. The GM teams will be migrated, Toyota and Ford. So would she was far behind the team, which already makes with this, but would survive NASCAR.

Patrick, 26, has to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (lately) been compared as the most popular and marketable driver appears in their craft, with little in the profit column. Unfair or not, Junior's 70-race winless followed up the load on his shoulders dainty Danica drove on the IndyCar version of circle's winner.

The speech is now, centered, not when Patrick with NASCAR will sign as other open wheels have done in recent years. Two of the last three Indianapolis are condensed now 500 winner and IndyCar Champs Sprint cuppers, and some look at the IRL competition as a factor in their first victory. Regardless of drivers such as Clint Bowyer said that a competitive woman in the ranks is inevitable, if the right offer comes. Bring fame and spotlight Patrick would, in particular with an IndyCar victory in her resume, would be huge for NASCAR. Coverage of their product names would be sponsors of the prospect of drool or business logo on the hood of a car driven by Patrick in the most popular Motorsport in the nation.

Discussions are already under way, combine double game on the same route and at different times in the future seasons, an occasional NASCAR and IndyCar. Also, race, taking into account a circuit on which is followed by an afternoon event with the other presentation a possible Saturday. Lowe's Motor Speedway President and general manager H.A. NASCAR - let the Chase begin

Now, as the rain delay due to tropical storm Hannah about is, is today the conclusion of the race in Richmond us go the last twelve drivers for the 2008 Sprint Cup Championship.

Let's start the hunt.

For those who thought, will Kyle Busch on foot with the Championship 2008 with his eight victories this year, forget the other riders can be as competitive at the end of the season. Bush leads the series, as we begin the hunt. Busch wins have been very impressive this year but drivers including Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson are now closer in point as a week ago. Keep Bush at the top of the Championship until the end, but as they say in investment, past do not guarantee future performance.

Edwards was impressive this year with six wins. Unfortunately for Edwards, only bonus points for five wins due to a post race earlier in the season he received. Edwards has been, on strong lately and recently won two in a row in August. With a new rivalry between Bush and Edwards this season, we expect an uphill battle during the next twelve races for the title. This would be the first Cup Championship for Bush or Edwards and both is in every race.

Two time champion Jimmie Johnson has perfectly to Bush and Edwards over their shoulders look positioned. Win four victories this year, Johnson is the only multi-race winner Busch and Edwards in the Chase. Johnson shows that he is ready for the hunt, won the last two races, including the today's race in Richmond. Johnson tried also, only the second driver to three in a row will win. The last driver to do so was NASCAR legend Cale Yarborough, 1976-1978.

Other qualified for the Chase drivers are Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Clint Bowyer, Denny Hamlin, Jeff Burton, Tony Stewart, Greg Biffle, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick and Matt Kenseth.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. sits in fourth place for hunting. A consistent season with a victory and with eight top five rankings puts Earnhardt Jr. closer to its goal of the Championship. The most popular driver in the NASCAR trying change the team in 2008 in position for his first title committed.

Past champions Stewart start Gordon and Kenseth hunting without a single victory in this season. If they are hoping that a further Championship to win must win soon. Each of these former champions knows how to win and is fully capable to secure a further Championship.

Bowyer, Hamlin, Biffle and Burton, Harvick worked hard throughout the year, to make it in the hunt. A week ago was sitting on the bubble Bowyer; He is now in fifth place, while Hamlin moved up five spots to sixth place. Sweat and determination make for success; This can be the combination which either could press Bowyer or Hamlin to the Championship.

The season 2008 so far was with the dominance of the Busch, Edwards and exciting lately of Johnson. The first 26 races are over, and are a maximum 80 points separate the 12 drivers. The Championship is for the reception of any of these drivers.

Let's start the hunt.

NASCAR will win driver Jimmie Johnson here

Jimmie Johnson is here to win, and he proved it for the second week in a row with a victory today at Richmond International Raceway. A win is always important, but for Johnson, this victory perhaps other drivers to keep in mind that it is ready for the Chase. Johnson is out for his third consecutive Cup win is. The last person to do so was Cale Yarborough, 1976-1978.

Johnson was clearly determined in a Chevrolet, today to win and he proved it Tony Stewart and his Toyota by holding off hard-charging at the end. With no Stewart wins this season, two time series champion is clearly frustrated. Although Stewart is winless, he has qualified for the chase and now does need WINS to secure a third Championship in the last ten races.

Behind Stewart, Denny Hamlin was in a Toyota to third place. Fourth place went to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in a Chevrolet fifth place went to Mark Martin in a Chevrolet.

World Championship leader Kyle Busch had a busy day and could finish only 15. Bush had two separate race incidents, one with Earnhardt Jr. and a second with Elliot Sadler. Busch is hunting in the first place thanks to his impressive eight races this season started.

Carl Edwards starts the hunt for second place behind Bush. Although Edwards has had six wins this year, he is just bonus points for five wins due to a post race earlier in the season. Today only 13 finish could Edwards.

The Chase for the Sprint Cup begins in earnest next week in New Hampshire.

NASCAR Nationwide Series - Logano, now 54. available!

Teen sensation Joey Logano was the winner for today's races. His victory in the Meijer 300 at Kentucky Speedway was pretty phenomenal, and moves it to eight positions to 54th position!

Yes I know I want to write about the changes in the nationwide series positions and 54th position is not very important, but how can we ignore the story about Logano. I think I need write first about the series of top 10 rankings.

The big story for the series WM Brad Keselowski is really three positions after 2nd overall. Clint Bowyer remains in the first place, 170 points ahead of the Keselowski. A win ahead of a week in Nashville and fourth place today has Keselowski promoted the series and make his boss Dale Earnhardt, Jr. proud.

David Reutimann slipped a position and is now in third. Carl Edwards remains deleted in the fourth while Kyle Busch two items to the fifth. David Ragan moved the location to a position on the sixth while of Mike Bliss, seventh deleted. Ragan and Bliss actually have the exact number of points, but the bolt to the Ragan with better overall performance is after 16 races. Mike Wallace and David Stremme swapped positions with Wallace now in eighth and Stremme ninth. Jason Leffler will remain in the 10th.

Okay, back to the Logano. Maybe can you remember where you were 21 days after your 18th birthday, maybe you don't want to remember, but could you imagine the thrill of standing on the podium a NASCAR Nationwide Series race. And let's not forget, it is only Logano of third race. Logano was on the pole position for this race and his second in the last two races.

Joe Gibbs has to know what future star, he has in the Logano grinning ear to ear. Now, when Tony Stewart decided to play hardball for 2009 you do think Gibbs with a difficult time based Logano fill?

Move up to 54. position is not so important in the overall classification in the nationwide series, but make sure you on Logano continues to make its impact during the year. Finally, I promise that never set-teen sensation use, when to describe a NASCAR Series driver.

Worst kept secret in NASCAR - Logano, Stewart at JGR replaced in ' 09

So much for the hunt for season NASCAR need interest.

As the summer lasts and lasts, the latest craze in the Sprint Cup seem prominent lame ducks. The Tony "smoke" Stewart, is biggest quack, more headlines for his future movements than win for racing without a cup of this season access. Once Stewart his No. 20 Home Depot Toyota stops after each event, he calculated racing, for which he officially in the year 2009 ride more moves for his new team, Stewart Haas.

Pocono, seemed more interested in the smoke 18 and 29 places of the current Haas CNC racing (the name change kick not up to the next season) be drivers Tony Raines and Scott Riggs, and less on his runner up (his second in ' 08) finish, to Carl Edwards. He also provides "'Atta'-boy" praise Raines and Riggs in a time when an arc is on the line in the waning weeks Chase (he stand 9 to Pocono, 57 points from the 12.-place inmates Clint Bowyer).

Stewart, 37, recently $10,000 by the US Auto Club, was sentenced after a midget car event for what has become, characteristic behavior of "Terrible Tony." Stewart's mini, Tony Stewart racing, is on probation for the rest of the season.

Internet hits in its latest outbreak, after he apparently a headset jostled by an official of USAC race were common, and his reputation follows like a shadow.

It is no wonder why little mention of Tony's expected replacement, 18-year-old Joey Logano, is too young, with the large young race. When can a man 19 years older acts bratty case experience and recent success comparison dwindle.

No official announcement was made, Logano will be in the No. 20 car next year he Crafton GameStop/PSP-Toyota in the Nationwide Series-No. 20 or movement is anticipated far up to the point of being a professional. Desi is on record as stating it was 99 percent positive that Logano a car Cup for Joe Gibbs Racing in ' 09, with Stewart's present crew chief, Greg "Zippy" Zipadelli, drive wrench as his head.

The home-schooler and honor students is a new Englander. He moved to Georgia at a young age his racing talents began to burst, and became the youngest winner of ever in the nationwide/Busch series the chequered flag (18 years and 21 days) when he took on 14 June in Kentucky. He may need to learn and experience more of the ins and-outs big time stock car racing, but his maturity level-so far - Cup driver is much better on the surface as Stewart's or each operated for that matter.

And young, he can race. Logano starts, press the pedal competitively at age 7 (he started Go-karts in the age of 4 drive) and slews of victories and Championships along the way. If "the rock" in Rockingham finally last spring, reopened after a long period of rest, Logano won the May 4 ARCA event to more than four seconds over veteran driver Ken Schrader.

As JGR staff he is already a primary driver of the team and car of tomorrow is always familiar with the heavy, boxier. End of season run in the the ' 08-Sprint Cup series has not to this point been excluded.

In particular there is no appreciable confrontations with race young officials during his career, but achieved.

Logano has received for his race reviews, which are similar to that generated Tiger Woods as a golf prodigy.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship standings - Kahne is the hard charger

The NASCAR Sprint Cup series has 14 race of the year with Kasey Kahne Pocono won over. The point ranking are always an exciting with Kyle Busch still at the top. Although Kyle Busch had a dismal race at the Pocono leads yet the series point standings. Bush in the race on the points and indeed everything, what he, to at the bottom edge could finish the race. And that's exactly what he did by finishing the Pocono 500 in dead last 43rd.

Busch lead was reduced to only 21 points ahead of the series second place driver Jeff Burton. The four top positions in the series remain unchanged in the fourth with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in third and Carl Edwards. 10 Out of ten of the fourteen races for 2008 have shown the top each of these four drivers. Consistency is very important, one of the leaders for the Sprint Cup his and these first four prove that his front is, what matters most.

Kyle Busch leads all drivers in WINS with four so far in this year. Edwards has three victories this year to secure third place in the Championship. Jeff Burton has a victory. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is the only rider of the four without a win this year.

The hard charger point was Kahne three positions this weekend Denny Hamlin, four positions and race winner Kasey. Hamlin, is now in fifth position with Kahne in ninth position.

Of the twelve key positions at hunting three riders lost positions, Greg Biffle, Jeff Gordon and two positions. Clint Bowyer lost three positions and Tony Stewart went down one and is now in 12th place.

Stewart must be careful. It seems to be so much talk, what will happen to Stewart, next year, it seems that perhaps he has lost focus for 2008. But before we go too far with this thought, we must not forget that it is a tradition of Stewart to a hard-charger in the latter part of the season.

This weekend will produce an exciting race in Michigan. How will the point battle to make? Significant changes with the best candidates will give it? Felt ball Kahne his award-winning because this will be the hard charger at weekends for someone new, or?

NASCAR needs to check their safety standards?

At the Talladega Superspeedway, two weeks ago Carl Edwards No. 99 was sent Ford airborne as fence, sailed his car into the wall and safety showers which stands behind the winner. Catch fencing, and Edwards raised by his burning car with hardly a scratch, but several people were injured by the debris. Officials said seven fans sustained non-life-threatening injuries (including a woman who suffered a broken jaw) and an eighth fan sitting in the same section had an undisclosed medical issue. Two of the fans were taken by helicopter to the hospital. Despite the injuries, it was lucky there were no longer serious injuries or even deaths.

Talladega was a polarizing venue in the NASCAR safety debate. There 1987 legend Bobby Allison was a weirdly similar to wreck that copied was a 150 foot-hole in the catch fence at the front of the Gallery involved in close to the finish line scattering debris into the crowd. Allison was like Edwards in the location, injuries sustained during some fans walking.

It was Allison's 1987 wreck, the cars the following year at the Talladega Superspeedway to slow that developed flow plates, be asked. Over the years has the fans and the drivers protects more safety regulations have been implemented, how switches steel and foam energy reduction but last (SAFER)-Barrieren, in view of the Sunday arrived perhaps events that further their safety standards for the protection of his fans and driver change time for NASCAR. Edwards fall on Sunday came very close to tragedy; his car had reached a slightly higher elevation and the wall completely is deleted it entirely possible that the would have not kept catch fencing and a real tragedy even running. As it was, was it a very close call.

NASCAR has been very happy, no fan fatalities at a large race have, spectator deaths not without precedent in other premier category but are certainly. In 1955, more than 80 spectators, including driver Pierre Levegh were killed in the worst auto racing accident in the history of Le Mans in France, if Leveghs were flying car in the stands. 1957 Were a famous at the Mille Miglia, race Italy Alfonso de Portago and co-pilot Ed Nelson is killed along with 10 spectators. 1961 Fourteen fans and Wolfgang trips driver were killed at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Four fans were killed in 1975, as Rolf Stommolen car off course at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona on the Montijuich Street line turned. In October 1977 of two fans at the Japanese Grand Prix at Fuji died when Gilles Villeneuve car turned from the road and landed in a limited area. In 1987, viewers Lyle Kurtenbach was captured by a tyre, flying car at the Indy 500 with Tony Bettenhausen. The tyre sailed 30 feet in the top row of the stands killing Kurtenbach, who was the tenth spectators killed in Indianapolis 500 history.

In July 1998, three people were killed and six others were injured when the CART U.S. 500 at Michigan International Speedway at the a hurling tire and other car parts went fling in the stands. This was the first time in more than a decade that spectators were killed in a major race. After this incident NASCAR their safety standards by expanding the security fences in the high banked 2-mile oval before the next race, that August changed. In May 1999, three fans were killed and eight were in the IRL VisionAire 500 in Concord, n.c. (for all intents and purposes of NASCAR backyard) injured as debris from a crash flew into the stands. So they are managed during NASCAR to avoid such scenarios, a very real possibility.

The most racing fans know the threat of a serious accident. Whether car flying a 3,500 pound careening towards them or debris showering is after a wreck, the risk and death or injury are constantly present. The reality however is that at the same time most are unlikely to viewers, to see it as a serious threat, and many have no problem is located very close to the line. Monday, after Carl Edwards crash at the Talladega Superspeedway NASCAR, its commitment to the spectator safety and possible penalties for unsafe driving commented. Rick Humphrey, President of Talladega Superspeedway, said he would consider whether the fences should be created later. Review of the Edwards crash, it could be a good idea, the height of the SAFER barrier and the catch fencing many tracks increase be.

The flow of plates to the uses of Daytona and Talladega, slow down the cars and help the potential for fatal collisions have border become a constant source of debate in terms of security. The fact is that while they limit some speeds, they also artificially push design, where a car constantly runs into the car before field League and lead, and sets both cars around the track faster than they otherwise in open air could reach. Drivers have since years complained that this leads to a ubiquitous by accident and sure enough there was a major incident, the significant number of cars with virtually any discharge plate race threat. Seriously, it must be questioned whether a set of rules, leading competitive, requires is a safe way to the race close to a large number of cars and go permanent contact between the fast, heavy and less than nimble machines, to the constant.
